How Wurdella content is checked
Wurdella editorial policy
Wurdella publishes game guides, strategy articles, classroom resources, Word Finder pages and interactive tools, and each type of page needs more than correct grammar to deserve a place in search. Product claims should match the live game, word-list claims should come from the actual Wurdella data when possible, and every substantial page should give a player, teacher or learner something concrete they can use.
Who is behind the site?
Wurdella was created in Iceland by Rósa Amelía Árnadóttir and her son, Mikah Curtisson. Articles and guides are published under the Wurdella name because they explain one shared product rather than pretending there is a large anonymous newsroom behind the game.
Writing, coding and checking tools can assist with structure, consistency and validation, but a page is not considered useful simply because it is long. The important test is whether the content is accurate, specific to its search intent and genuinely helpful.
The six checks substantial pages should pass
01
We start with the live product
Rules, scoring, clue limits, difficulty descriptions, Daily behavior and multiplayer instructions must match the current Wurdella experience. Planned features are not described as though they already exist.
02
Wurdella-specific claims come from Wurdella data
Word counts, pattern pages, difficulty descriptions, playable-word examples and tool outputs should come from the same local data used by the game whenever that is possible. General English advice is kept separate from claims about Wurdella itself.
03
Examples must help a reader decide something
A sample board, classroom routine, candidate list or multiplayer example should make the next action clearer. We remove examples that simply repeat the paragraph above them in different words.
04
Current multiplayer behavior is checked explicitly
Wurdella supports local play on one device as well as Challenge a Friend rooms for separate devices. Pages that discuss multiplayer must distinguish those experiences clearly instead of relying on older screen-sharing instructions.
05
Review dates mean a real review happened
A date is changed only after the page has actually been checked or materially revised. We do not refresh dates merely to make older content look new in search results.
06
Corrections are part of the process
Players can report an inaccurate rule, unsuitable word, missing definition, broken feature or accessibility problem. Specific reports are used to reproduce the issue and improve both the product and the page that describes it.
Different page types get different checks
A 5-letter pattern page should not be reviewed in exactly the same way as a multiplayer guide or classroom lesson. The underlying standard is accuracy and usefulness, but the evidence needed to satisfy that standard changes with the page.
Gameplay guides
Checked against the current rules, clue behavior, difficulty settings and available game modes.
Word Finder pages
Generated from the current Wurdella word banks and designed to add pattern-specific analysis rather than generic filler.
Strategy articles
Expected to contain worked reasoning, real board decisions or Wurdella-specific examples instead of interchangeable word-game advice.
Learning content
Separates useful practice ideas from medical, educational or language-learning claims that the game cannot prove.
Tool pages
Explain exactly what the tool calculates, what data it uses and what the result does not guarantee.
Product and trust pages
Kept accurate when accounts, multiplayer, accessibility, privacy or moderation behavior changes.
How corrections work
When a report identifies a rule or product statement that no longer matches the site, the first job is to verify the current behavior, correct the affected page and then look for the same outdated statement elsewhere. A correction should reduce inconsistency across the site, not fix one sentence while leaving five copies behind.
How SEO fits into the policy
Search optimization is useful when it helps a page answer a real query more completely. It is not a reason to duplicate an existing page, invent expertise or add hundreds of words that do not change what the reader understands. When two URLs serve the same intent, Wurdella should consolidate them rather than make them compete.
Found something that does not match the game?
Tell us the page, the sentence or rule that looks wrong, and what happened in your Wurdella round. That gives us enough information to reproduce the problem and correct the page instead of guessing.
